Now that scripting is done (and shooting is underway) for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2, screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg is taking on new projects.
The first new gig for Rosenberg is, according to Variety, a forthcoming ABC series entitled AKA Jessica Jones.
Apparently, Rosenberg is also serving as an executive producer on the project - which she has done for Dexter as well - and she has a new company coming into the mix entitled Tall Girls Production.
"AKA Jessica Jones" . . . is [about] a superhero ("Jewel") who winds up with post-traumatic stress disorder and gets out of that biz. Jessica, now in her early 30s, decides to keep far away from others gifted with superpowers and to open her own detective agency. But once she settles down, she realizes she still has a drive to help people -- and finds herself assisting other superheroes. Insiders said Rosenberg was drawn to Jessica Jones because the character is unlike most female leading roles on network TV: deeply flawed but with a biting sense of humor.
