Charlie Bewley says 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' will be more 'real'

Charlie Bewley, who portrays "Demetri" in the saga, seems to think it'll be more "real" in the sense that "Eclipse has this different mood about it, it’s dark and vicious. You get to see the brutal nature of vampires and what they are really capable of, which is something we haven’t really seen in the first two movies." Or at least that's what he told OK! Magazine.
Of course, all that's been seen - officially - of Eclipse thus far is a still-frame image of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in the meadow, and the trailer's release is to come at an indeterminate time, so all we have to rely on, for now, is words like those of Bewley.
It is interesting, then, to hear him say that the vampires in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will be portrayed as the dangerous creature that mainstream lore presents them as. Wonder if this will bring more guys into the saga?
Of course, these statements are qualified by David Slade's promise that there is a "balance" in the film. So, if there can and will be both (the predatory/vicious vampires as well as a soft and tempered love story), isn't that a good thing

The Hot Guys of Eclipse In Seventeen Magazine

Alex Meraz:
"What I learned through my experience of dating young girls was that they loved bad boys. They like guys that don't really care or have some kind of drama going on. Because I was an artist, I'd paint drawings of the girls. I'd do romantic things that I do not do now because of my lack of luck then."

"I'm in a funny transitional period in my life right now. I have so many people who have a lot of opinions on what I should be doing and that's hard. I find myself resisting a lot, but I think it comes across as being a rebel or cocky or arrogant."

Charlie Bewley:
"I'm constantly evolving as a person in everything — career, friends, geography, lifestyle, and relationships. I just keep going and going until I'm happy with everything."

"I think monogamy is really unnatural. I'm not saying I'm a whore, but I'll definitely say…I don't think being with one person — especially throughout your youth — is that good for someone. I'm quite a lone wolf."

Kiowa Gordon:
"I'm not into the whole inking-up-my-body thing, but if my girlfriend asked me to do it, I would. Her name is Kaiulani, so that would be a cool name on my back."

"The first thing that attracts me to a girl is probably her clothes and her style, like cool jeans, sweet shoes, and a rocker tee."

"Best friends can be soul mates if you love every little thing that they do."

Michael Welch:
"I've only been in two relationships in my life, and I've maybe hooked up with a grand total of five or six people. In terms of my priority and how I think about it, I'm a committed guy. It was always more appealing to me to hear stories about an old couple who's been together since high school and they're now 89 years old."

"A lot of the pickup line that's important is the second move. If you use a pickup line and the girl reacts poorly, your reaction to that is a big factor in how the girl sees you. Me? As soon as you react poorly to me, I just shut down. That's probably why I've never tried it out."

"Part of how I was able to connect so easily to [my character] Mike Newton is that I had a very similar experience in high school. In our case, she liked me first and I liked her later, and that crossover time never worked out."

Otrc interview: Eclipse' will be a 'gawker,' says Charlie Bewley, who plays the vampire Demetri

Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the third film in the vampire romance saga, is going to be an "absolute gawker," actor Charlie Bewley says ahead of its June 30 release.

The 29-year-old English native plays the vampire Demetri in the film, which stars lead actors Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Demetri is part of the Volturi, a group that enforces the laws in the vampire world.

Check out the video interview with Bewley!

"If you read the books, I'd say Eclipse is heavy-set with action - I can't wait to see it. I have no doubt it's just going to be an absolute gawker," Bewley told On The Red Carpet's Chris Balish at the recent Hollywood premiere of the romance drama film Letters to Juliet.

He said cast members hung out inside a gun room, made into their makeshift green room, in between takes during production of Eclipse.

"We were shooting in this forest in Vancouver and the green room was this gun club and it was so small and all the directors chairs, with the names on the back of them, were lined up like sardines," he said. "So we all went in there, all soaking wet like drowned rats. It was so funny just to see the biggest young Hollywood (stars) like drowned rats, side by side."

He said cast members were busy texting and playing with their phones in the green room, adding: "The world doesn't stop moving for 'Eclipse'."

Charlie Bewley on Rob & Kristen: “I Can’t Stand Them Always Locked in Their Rooms”

Charlie Bewley, Twilight Saga’s Demetri, showed up to the Letters to Juliet premiere in Hollywood on Tuesday. Being a love story, Charlie chatted with reporters about what Twilight taught him about love, the love he felt on set and his thoughts on Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.

But he did mind how seclusive Rob and Kristen were on set.

“They are really like movie stars,” Charlie told OK!. “I can’t stand them always locked in their rooms.”

Just kidding!

“No,” he explained. “They are lovely people.”

Charlie Bewley races in Vancouver marathon to honour fallen colleague (Interview)

Twilight actor Charlie Bewley has traded in his fangs for running shoes.
The English actor, who plays the Volturi vampire Demetri in the Twilight Saga movies is in town busy training for the May 1 BMO Vancouver Marathon.

Bewley is running and raising money as a tribute to his late friend and colleague stunt woman Jocelyn Clarke, who passed away from lung cancer on February 14 at the age of 36.

“She was a really brilliant girl,” said Bewley, who hopes his Run For Your Life campaign will be a lifelong endeavor. “She is ingrained in my heart. I wanted to celebrate the life of this amazing person.”
While running a full marathon is certainly impressive Bewley is picking up the pace, if you will, and actually adding another 21 km to the 43 km marathon length, bringing his day’s run total to 64 km.

“For me it’s an underlying message for anyone who feels they are stronger than what they are putting out right now,” said Bewley, who lives in Los Angeles but has called Vancouver and Whistler home in the past.

Bewley, who met Clarke on a bus on the way to audition, is further honouring the memory of the Vancouver stunt woman, who doubled for Dakota Fanning’s vampire character in Twilight’s New Moon and Eclipse movies, by donating funds raised through a ticket draw (charliebewley.com/runforyourlife) to the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation.

Each dollar sponsored earns one ticket into a draw to win an advanced, private screening for the winner and 20 of their friends for Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, which is currently shooting in Vancouver. And attention Twihards, Bewley will make an appearance at that screening.
“If I can do this and make enough buzz about it I feel I can inspire people not only to explore their own limits but to get out there and help causes,” said Bewley, who drove cab in Whistler for two years.

On race day Bewley plans a 4:30 am. start and figures he’ll need about six hours to complete the 64 km.
In theory the English actor will get a few minutes to catch his breath when he stops after the first 21.1 km to make the draw for the screening package donated by Twilight studio Summit Entertainment.

“I think I will have two or three running styles,” said Bewley. “There will also be probably some crawling and maybe some being sick.

As for Twihard fans, when it came to Twilight gossip the English actor’s lips were sealed tighter than a vampire’s crypt.

“Sure you can ask me,” said Bewley. “But if I told you anything I would have to throw you into the sea.”
