Jessica Alba New Revlon Pitchwoman

Joining the ranks of former celebrity Revlon faces Halle Berry, Eva Mendes and Sheryl Crow, actress Jessica Alba has signed on to represent the brand. In her first endorsement for Revlon, she will be featured in a worldwide advertising campaign for the new Revlon 3D Extreme Mascara that includes television, print, in-store and internet placements. The picture shown at the right is from the commercial's recent shoot. The first television commercial for 3D Extreme Mascara will launch in the US in July, with a print campaign following shortly thereafter.

"We are thrilled to have Jessica as part of the Revlon family," says Elizabeth Crystal, Senior Vice President of Color Cosmetics. "She is both a dynamic and beautiful woman who represents the modern, glamorous spirit of the brand."

Jessica will also participate in the annual Revlon Run/Walk in May and will be involved with various company sponsored breast cancer initiatives.

"I'm honored to be joining the Revlon family," says Jessica Alba. "Revlon celebrates diverse, dynamic women of every walk of life and I'm proud to be associated with a company that is so involved with women's causes and issues."

She talked to People magazine recently about her new gig:

Why Revlon? I feel like they tailor the makeup for the person. Sheryl Crow is still Sheryl Crow - she doesn't look like a mannequin in her Revlon campaign.

What's your make-up routine like? I love mascara. I love a little lip gloss, tinted moisturizer, concealer - but that's about it. I'm a 20-minute face.

Do you have any beauty secrets? As soon as I'm done with an event or junket, I scrub all of this off as soon as possible. That's the key to having good skin.

Halle Berry Gets Her Star on the Walk of Fame

The title says it all. Actress and sometime-Revlon pitchwoman, Halle Berry, got her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week. Looking gorgeous in Dolce & Gabbana, Halle's mom, Judith, and her boyfriend, Gabriel Aubry, joined her.

The Oscar winner told the press, "I never thought I would arrive at this point in my career. I want to officially state that I am an emotional retard. I am so emotional ... as soon as I saw the crowds of people and friends here, I started to cry."

She is the 2,333rd person to receive a star in a ceremony in front of the Kodak Theatre. The timing is certainly convenient - her latest movie, "Perfect Stranger," comes out next week. She plays a NYC reporter who goes undercover to find out who killed her friend. Bruce Willis co-stars.
