Tinsel Korey On MyFoxPhoenix (Channel 10)

PHOENIX – Fans of the Twilight books and movies will have a chance this weekend to meet an actress from the newest movie, “Eclipse.”

The Twilight saga has a big valley connection. Author and creator Stephenie Meyer lives in Cave Creek. Two of Jacob’s wolf brothers are valley natives. And Tinsel Korey, who plays Emily, is spending Christmas with family in Arizona.

Tinsel says the producers were very careful when it came to casting.

“It was really important for them to find people within the community, because you also have that connection and when people meet people of the wolf pack, that’s what people say, you guys are like a family. Automatically, culturally we have that connection with each other, I think you see it in the film as well,” she says.

The wolf pack is made up of all guys, with the exception of two girls.

“You know being around hot guys all the time is so boring. No it’s amazing,” she says laughing. “It’s a lot of testosterone 24-7.”

This weekend, cast members are meeting fans across the country.

“I have a completely different experience from the boys, because girls don’t come up and grab me, so they have that respect level. But the fans are amazing. I think that’s one of the best parts about this journey.”

The question every Twilight fan asks her is: Team Edward or Team Jacob? Tinsel says she’s loyal to the wolf pack.

“Kiowa [Gordon] has this saying ‘real men don’t sparkle’ so they’re Team Jacob. I’m actually Team Sam because I’m faithful to my man. That’s how I roll.”

Saturday at 2 p.m., Tinsel will be signing DVDs at the Best Buy store located at 20th St and Camelback. Lines for wristbands start at noon.
